Hamed Rajabi was among the top 1% of 399321 participants in Iran’s national entrance examination of universities (Konkoor), in 2003. He received full scholarship from the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology of Iran to pursue his BSc (2007), MSc (2010) and PhD (2016) in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Guilan. He was selected as the distinguished student during all the mentioned programs. From 2010 to 2014, He worked as the Dean of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Ahrar Institute of technology & Higher Education . In 2011, he established his research team, known as the “Biomimetic Engineering group” .In 2014, by financial support of DAAD, he joined the Functional Morphology & Biomechanics  at Kiel University (Prof. Stanislav Gorb’s group), as a visiting researcher. Later in 2016, after completing his first PhD, he received a scholarship from the Federal State Schleswig-Holstein to start his second PhD in Biology in the same group, working on the complex structure of insect cuticle. Hamed Rajabi is the author of more than 60 journal and conference articles. He has won several national and international awards. He is also regularly invited as the reviewer of multiple international journals.  His research areas are Biomimetics, Functional Morphology, Insect Flight, and Mechanical Behaviour of Biological Structures.

Metanat Saadat Roohi

Metanat was born in 1995 in Rasht, Iran. She received her bachelor in mechanical engineering from Ahrar institute of technology and higher education in 2018.

She joined Biomimetic engineering group in the semester of her bachelor study to work on the effect of material gradient on micro joints of dragonfly wing as her bachelor thesis. She currently is working on the effect of geometry on the mechanical behavior of micro joints in dragonfly wing.

Hayda Ranjbar

Hayda was born in 1997 in Rasht (the capital of Guilan province in north of Iran). She lived in Rasht for the first decade of her life and then moved to Tehran (The capital of Iran) and Lived there since then. She was always one of the top students in the school time and this can be for instance evidenced from that she is studying Biomechanical Engineering. Now she is studying Bachelor of Science at Ahrar Institute of Technology and is the first rank among her classmates. She is an expert in working with illustration software packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator and Corel. She entered Biomimetics engineering Group since 2016 as an internship and she has cooperated in preparing some articles. She is looking forward being one of the researchers of BEG in near future.
